If you make music with under 5's and their families...
...then The Family Music Hub is your home for resources, training, and community.
The hub is a digital platform for everyone that includes music in their work with families. This might be:
- 10 minute sing-song at the end of a stay and play or playgroup
- A 'Rhyme time'Â in a local library
- Dedicated music sessions in a family hub or children's centre
- Home visits by health visitors / other family workers
- Music delivered in healthcare or perinatal mental health settings
- Pre-school or nursery family engagement... and more!

We know how busy this workforce is.
And we know that too often, group leaders can feel unsupported, undervalued, and under-confident in their music delivery.Â
But we also know something else: sound and music are powerful.
It's part of who we are, laying the foundations for life and learning.
Music-making brings communities together, builds confidence, strengths attachments, enhances wellbeing, encourages creativity — and plays a vital role in early childhood development.

We believe every family with young children should have the chance to experience the joy, healing, and connection that music can bring.
Â
And that the people making that happen - the group leaders leading music with children and families in their communities - should be supported, equipped, and celebrated!

That's why we've created a hub that...
- Saves you time (no more scrolling, no more wading through YouTube)
- Values you, and makes you think differently about your work.
- Offers you practical support and skills, delivered by an experienced and respected team.
- Inspires and informs you with training and research.
- Connects you to a community of other group leaders.
The hub is a low-cost membership platform that refreshes every term with brand new resources, training, and a new schedule of virtual events and meet-ups.

About The Family Music HubÂ
Â
The Family Music Hub was founded in 2021, by early childhood musicians, researchers and consultants Nicola Burke, Katie Neilson and Rosie Adediran.Â
💥 We support anyone who uses music in their work with children under 5 and their families.
💥 Our goal is simple: to help these leaders to maximise the benefits of family music making in their communities.
💥 We do this by offering high quality training, resources and consultancy to this amazing workforce!
The teamÂ
Meet the team behind the hub - your trainers - Nicola, Rosie and Katie - and communications lead, Eleanor.Â
Don't just take our word for it.
Here are some group leaders from Central Bedfordshire sharing how training from The Family Music Hub has impacted them and their teams.

When I came to the sessions I felt part of a team again so thank you.
-Â online training participant

As I am not a musician, just enthusiastic about music in the early years, I found the session useful understanding some of the theory behind the actual singing as well as collecting great ideas for activities. Great sessions.
- online training participant

I have worked and studied early years practice for over 30 years. I have attended and delivered numerous early years courses and training. This training has been the most comprehensive music training I have had.
